I had my mind set on pretty specific dimensions and wanted a certain simple, clean, artistic touch – a little bit Restoration Hardware, a touch of arts & crafts, but with a classic contemporary feel. Heather was my creative partner – actually my creative inspiration and co-conspirator. She shared ideas, sketched out options, and transformed my vague mental image to reality. Her meticulous attention to detail, the beveled edges, the leg and shelf design, the continuous flow of the grain on the wood, her selection of the wood – a beautiful piece of white oak with just the right greyish white finish that gives it the look I wanted – so much appreciated. My favorite part – the way Heather joined the legs to the top – I don’t know what magical technique she used, but it looks so cool.
